A Texas Concealed Carry License is for law abiding citizens that choose to own and/or carry a firearm for personal protection. Sisters S.O.S. Ministry has been serving the residents of Texas with licensing courses since 1996. However, there are some changes for this upcoming year that we believe will be a benefit to those that choose Sisters S.O.S. for your class provider.
All CHL and other classes will be private classes only serving groups as small as 2 or more. The benefit is that Elsie's speaking opportunities are increasing and it makes it challenging to try and do everything. The other benefit is to each of you. You will be able to choose the date, location and time; many of our students prefer this program because of changes in their life also.
Yes, the price increased but with the few changes we hope it will prove to be a value added benefit as well as to your advantage. To get the dates you want we suggest that you schedule your dates as soon as possible!
Call the office or email us with your 2 requested dates then we will call you to confirm and reserve that date on our calendar, click on our shopping cart pay and its done.
We believe that if you are going to carry for protection then you should be licensed

State Packet
Notary of State Documents
10 hours of classroom
Firing range proficiency
Certificate of Class Completion
Texas State Certified Instructors
For all classes students will need to bring their unloaded firearm, 50 rounds of ammo, color passport sized photo (2 x 2 in), (renewal students no finger prints or photos are no longer required) Range Fee of $15 for most Fort Worth Ranges or $25 for Dallas Ranges, baseball cap, small towel, and ear & eye protection Rental firearms are available at range if needed. You will have the opportunity to choose a different date and time for the firearm proficiency if neccesary on the range, however there could be an additional range fee.
Fees to the State of Texas include $140 for the initial 5 year license for those under 60 years of age and $70 to renew the license for another 5 years; $70 for the initial 5 year license for those 60 years of age or older and $35 to renew the license for another 5 years. These fees are paid to the State of Texas only upon completing the Concealed Handgun License Class and shooting Proficiency.
