A Texas Concealed Carry License is for law abiding citizens that choose to own and/or carry a firearm for personal protection. Sisters S.O.S. Ministry has been serving the residents of Texas with licensing courses since 1996. However, there are some changes for this upcoming year that we believe will be a benefit to those that choose Sisters S.O.S. for your class provider.
All CHL and other classes will be private classes only serving groups as small as 2 or more. The benefit is that Elsie's speaking opportunities are increasing and it makes it challenging to do all. The other benefit is to each of you. You will be able to choose the date, location and time; many of our students prefer this program because of changes in their life also. Yes, the price will increase a little but with the benefits we hope it will prove to a valued service. To get the dates you want we suggest that you schedule your dates as soon as possible! Call the office or email us with your 2 requested dates then we will call you to confirm and reserve that date on our calendar, click on our shopping cart pay and its done.
We believe that if you are going to carry for protection then you should be licensed, because ignorance of the law is no defense or excuse.

Notary of State Documents
10 hours of classroom
Firing range proficiency
Certificate of Class Completion
Texas State Certified Instructors
For all classes students will need to bring their unloaded firearm, approximately 50 rounds of ammo, color passport sized photo (2 x 2 in), Range Fee of $15.00, baseball cap, small towel, and ear & eye protection (also available at range). Rental firearms are also available at range if needed. All range rentals will involve an extra fee. You will have the opportunity to choose a different date and time to be qualified on the range by using any range you prefer this would result in a reduction in the initial class fee.
Fees to the State of Texas include $140 for the initial 5 year license for those under 60 years of age and $70 to renew the license for another 5 years; $70 for the initial 5 year license for those 60 years of age or older and $35 to renew the license for another 5 years. These fees are paid to the State of Texas only upon completing the Concealed Handgun License Class.
If you choose to pay by personal check, please mail the check in with your registration form to: 6731 Bridge St. PMB #364, Fort Worth, TX 76112. Your dates will not be confirmed until we receive your payment in the mail.
